Spotlight: The Playful Kolong Tangga Museum

One of the toys | Photo by GOGIRL! MAGZ
Kolong Tangga Museum is a museum that holds more than 1000 children's toys from around the world. The toys on display also not only from Indonesia, but from different regions around the world. Neither of the continent of Europe, Asia, Australia and America, some of which are exhibited here.

The reason why Rudi Corens (Belgium) founded this museum because he wanted to make people aware that the toy contains elements of creativity was very interesting and important for children. He is very sad to see children nowadays more often play smartphone, Playstation and online games which if it is played too often can lead to deterioration of creativity for children.

The collections of the museum is not only a traditional toy, but also a collection of educational toys. Consists of a variety of toys, books, posters, and various other toys.

Kolong Tangga museum is located at Taman Budaya Yogyakarta Building, 2nd floor, Sriwedari street No. 1 Yogyakarta. The museum is also the first museum in Indonesia which is a learning media for children. The museum is open from Tuesday to Friday from 09:00 until 16:00.

For me, explore Nusantara (Indonesia) is such a dream that I dreamt of, especially if the destination of my journey are such unique, beautiful, fascinating places and have not been touch by so many people. From this such activity, I learn a lot precious things. I learn the various cultures, race, ethnic, learn people's characters, how to be patient, and get to know myself better than before. Beside, the most important things that I get from travel are I have learnt how to write, learnt how to appreciate the importance of time and how to deal it, learnt how to sympathy and care to the others, learnt how to get closer with God and learnt how to be grateful. Because through the nature I also learn to care and protect the nature. Not to destroy it.

Where have you been in Indonesia?
I have travelled to North Sumatra, Aceh, Nusa Tenggara Timur, West Sumatra, and Java.

Do you have a favourite destination which mean a lot to you? If yes, where is it?
Yes, it is Banyak Aceh Singkik island. It is the most favourite place of mine because there are so many island there

When did you start to travel? Do you join in a community that concern in travel activity?
I started travel since I was in the highschool. I joined in Discover Aceh community right after I moved to Aceh to study.

What is your resolution that you have not made yet?
There are so many resolution I have not made yet. Some of them are solo traveling, travel without gadget, travel with my friends, complete my travel equipment and saving money for another journeys.

That Feeling..

The question is "why do we feel even more hurt when someone ignores us as compared to when someone hates us?"

Do you ever feel it, too? Maybe it isn't a big problem for you but.....the big problem is when someone knows you well suddenly ignores you and talks to anyone around you without acknowledging you.

How do you feel if it happens to you? Absolutely it makes me really have mixed feeling because it always reminds me with the beautiful moments of the past, but now....aaaaaarght! So, I feel hurt, angry to myself and definitely down. But when someone ignores you, what happens is that you want her/him all the more. Weird? Ha! But that's the fact!

"Why is he/she ignoring me?"

Honestly, this question always stuck in my mind all day while someone ignoring me. I don't even know why but all I do is keep wondering "why is he/she ignoring me?". Being ignored lead me to ask myself, "what did I do wrong?". Because I am ignored that question just remains an unanswered source of pain. At least, when I don't get the answers to this I decided to accept the fact!

But there always the reason why someone has ignored you. The reason someone ignoring you might be that he/she is feeling ignored or maybe he/she is in some grave unexplainable situation. Also, ignoring is a silent way of telling "get away from me!".

Forget Me

Loving you was the best feeling I've ever felt -Andrea

I'm Coco, and she's Vinta. We were sitting under the reddish sky with clouds blanketed it. We had been dating for months and this day was the most tragic date for our relationship, the day that every relationships would face.

"What?" Vinta widen her eyes in the shocked, she just heard the sickest sentence from her boy that maybe can't no longer hold her hand.

I closed my eyes and whispered hardly, "yes, sorry and thanks."

"For.. for what?" That girl with short hair bitten her trembling lips.

"For you, Alvinta Hendria Maharani. For everything. You're my everything. Ugh.. bye." I nodded and walked away, leaving Vinta that was still confused about everything.
