Earth Hour 2012!

I'm back with my new article and I'd talk about "Earth Hour" in my new article.

Before I'd talk about it, let me ask something to you. You know "Earth Hour" isn't it?

Okaaaaay I'll explain it to you.

Earth Hour is a campaign of WWF (World Wildlife Fund) which has a goal to invite us to participate and turn off lights and other electronic devices aren't used for 1 hour every Saturday in the third week of March every year. And Indonesia is one of the participants in this program.

Talking about Earth Hour, my beloved city of Yogyakarta as one of the major cities in Indonesia also participated in this activity. This year is the third year in Yogyakarta participate in WWF's global campaign Earth Hour 2012. Even Sri Sultan HB X as Ambassador of Earth Hour 2012 Yogyakarta. And Yogyakarta managed to collect 16.000 support "Earth Hour" from society. Also Yogyakarta, has the support of the second largest city after Jakarta in Indonesia.

And on March 31, 2012, several icons and places in Yogyakarta participate in Earth Hour 2012 to turn off the lights, including the Kraton Yogyakarta Hadiningrat, Puro Pakualaman, Prambanan Temple, Monument Yogyakarta, Pangeran Mangkubumi street, Malioboro street, Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa, Ambarukmo Plaza (at House Of Balcony), Chocolate Cafe, Hotel Ibis and Malioboro Mall.
